A Room Filled of Dolls

Susie was not as nervous as Megan.

Her little face was relaxed as she saw Megan reluctantly admitting that she was not the first one to discover the muddled ghost. Susie even comforted her by saying, "It's okay~"

Megan felt like she was deliberately being teased!

Before she could say anything, Susie asked again, "Megan, where do you keep your ghosts? Are they on the second floor? That room over there?"

She pointed to a room on the second floor and asked, "What do you use to keep them? Do you catch a lot of them? The room is full, that's amazing!"

Megan frowned and felt annoyed by all the nonsense.

She stood up expressionlessly and did not want to deal with Susie at all.

Niki came over with mango pomelo sago and happened to see Susie pointing in a certain direction. She then said, "That's my room."

Susie was stunned.

Niki's room? How come there were so many ghosts there?

Although they were not powerful ghosts, not even grudges...there were still many of them.

There were many and many wild ghosts on the verge of dissipating. Their energy was weak and they were almost nonexistent.

"Niki, can I go to your room and take a look?" Susie was worried.

She glanced at Megan.

Did Megan not realize there were ghosts in Niki's room...?

It seems that Megan was not as powerful as she thought she was.

At this moment, Megan realized that there were ghosts in her sister's room.

What a joke!

Her compass had never malfunctioned while at home, how could there be ghosts?

Niki was happy and said, "Great! My room has a lot of fun things! Come on, I will show you!"

She handed a cup of mango pomelo sago to Susie, took another one for herself, and asked casually, "By the way, Megan, do you want one? If you do, go get it from the fridge yourself."

Megan remained silent.

She didn't want to talk to her sister, who insisted on calling her nickname!

She turned around coolly and went upstairs.

She didn't believe what Susie said there were ghosts in her sister's room.

Niki held Susie's hand and followed Megan to go upstairs.

When they arrived at the room on the second floor, Niki opened the door.

It was daytime, but the curtains were drawn, and the room was a bit gloomy.

Niki turned on the light and Susie was stunned after seeing the scene in the room.

There were many display cases in the room, filled with all kinds of dolls.

Niki's room was very large, and there were seven or eight of these display cases, each with seven or eight layers, and each layer had one or two dolls.

Each doll had its room, garden, and even pets.

Susie exclaimed, "Niki, what are you raising..."

Niki looked like a child sharing toys, and said, "You know about raising dolls too? I'm a top-level player in our doll circle. Each doll is designed and customized by me, and they are all unique."

Niki liked the world of anime and manga. Except for a few customized dolls, there were also two display cabinets filled with anime characters.

The two display cabinets of anime characters didn't emit any negative energy, but each of the customized dolls had a ghost inside...

Susie whispered to Megan, "Megan, do you see it?"

Megan frowned and her voice turned cold, "Isn't it just a doll?"

There were so many of these small toys.

Other than the intentionally haunted ones, regular dolls wouldn't have anything inside.

Some people found dolls creepy, but some were fanatically fond of them. These were all normal, so why make a fuss?

Susie pointed to the nearest display shelf and said, "Can't you see it? There is a doll here."

Megan was about to say something, but suddenly the pointer on her compass started swaying back and forth.

Her heart skipped a beat, and she immediately looked up. Upon seeing what was in front of her, the cold sweat instantly soaked her back.

A little child was sitting on the display cabinet in front of her. She was about two years old and looked at her curiously.

Except for her, the whole room was filled with ghosts.

Some were hiding in the dolls, some were sitting on the edge of the display cabinet, some were floating on the ceiling, and some were moving around...

Some were little dolls, some were young women, and there were also old people and women... The only thing they had in common was that they were all female.

Megan was shocked and felt like she had been struck by lightning.

Were there ghosts?!

The whole room was filled with them, about seventeen or eighteen in total.

Megan began to question her existence. If there were one or two that she didn't notice, she could still accept it, but there were seventeen or eighteen ghosts?!

When did her abilities become so poor….

Niki remained calm and took her favorite doll off the shelf. She said, "This one is named Yara. She's nine years old this year and she is my favorite daughter."

Susie opened her mouth and asked, "Niki, what does it mean to raise a daughter?"

Susie’s little face became serious.

Was it what she was thinking?

Mitch Dubin said that there were people in this world who raised little ghosts to pray for good luck, especially in their neighboring country...

But in the tradition of America, this kind of thing was considered to damage one's good deed to the doer's credit in the next world and lifespan.

When Mitch Dubin used an analogy, he mentioned that there was a female celebrity who raised little ghosts to pray for her continued success, but she didn't know that all these things came at a price...

Susie was uncertain if Niki was like what Mitch Dubin described…

Niki immediately laughed when she saw Susie's serious face.

"Cute little one, do you misunderstand something? They are fake dolls, not real ones!"

"We call it raising dolls, and those who like to raise dolls have a circle called the dolls circle."

"The doll's circle is also known as the design circle or drawing circle. It is a subculture of a small group of people. At first, anime fans couldn't help but ask someone to design their anime character, specifying details like age, personality, appearance, and clothing just to name a few. After that, the doll's circle appears, which not only in 2D but also has makeup artists create cute dolls."

"Nah, that's how it is!"

Niki explained happily, "I spend a lot of money to have someone draw an anime character for me and then have a makeup artist make it. The hair, clothes, accessories... all are designed and drawn by me. Each of my dolls has a unique copyright, which means there is only one Yara in the world, there won't be a second one."

If there was, it would be copyright infringement.

Niki took out a large sketchbook, and Susie only then realized that there were many little people drawn on it.

"This is called a Q-version doll, and this one is the most complicated doll I've designed, call Femme Fatale who is an 18 years old and ancient-style doll..."

"The clothes are also made by me..."

As Niki introduced it, Susie finally understood.

Niki's dolls were like her little bunny.

"Niki, can you give me that one?" Susie pointed to the Yara on the table.

"Sure!" Niki handed Yara to Susie.

Susie took the doll. She felt its warm and delicate touch, as well as an indescribable cold.

"Is she made of clay?" Susie turned Yara over to look at its back.

Megan also picked up a doll and stared at it closely.

Right? It should be made of clay, it can't be made of bone ashes...
