Just one slash, it'll be quick.
Ryan looked at Zion's medical report and suddenly frowned. The report indicated that there was a low-density shadow in Zion's brain, shaped like a new moon, and there was a suspicion of a hematoma in his brain.
Mrs. Alana mentioned that Zion fell from the second floor when he was three years old, and it had been five years since then...considering the possibility of a chronic subdural hematoma.
"Let's do an MRI and take a look!" Ryan said silently.
Chronic subdural hematoma is easily overlooked in the early stages. For children, there are often symptoms such as excessive sleepiness, increased head size, swelling of the skull, and seizures. He had been looking at Zion and he seemed perfectly normal, but as a doctor, he failed to notice that his nephew had been in a hematoma state for a long time.
Ryan blamed himself and recalled Zion's behavior. Before Susie arrived, Zion used to argue a lot and often annoyed Mr. Craig and Mrs. Alana to death. But upon further thought, when family members spoke to Zion, he often ignored them and only spoke back when he was arguing. Everyone thought he was rebellious and didn't listen to others. But it turns out that he was already showing signs of delayed response back then...
Mrs. Alana worried, "Is it serious?"
Ryan replied, "If you say it's not serious, it is still serious. But it's not as urgent as you think."
"But this hematoma still needs surgical treatment. We can't just sit and watch, we need to remove it as soon as possible..."
Wade interjected, "So you mean we have to make a cut in his brain?"
Ryan nodded and then explained the characteristics and clinical manifestations of chronic subdural hematoma and its prognosis. Mrs. Alana had already informed the family about this information, and Zion was scheduled for further examinations. Ryan helped to book a hospital bed, but it was difficult to find a bed in a public hospital, and it would probably take until next week before he could be admitted.
After they were done, Mrs. Alana took the children home. Zion sat silently in the car, and suddenly asked in a low voice, "Do I really have to get a cut in my brain?"
Mrs. Alana was speechless. This child had been thinking about this the whole way home!
Susie patted his hand and comforted him, "Zion, don't worry, it's just one cut and it'll be quick!"
Everyone remained silent.
Mitch was speechless. It was just one cut, it'll be quick...how come it sounds so weird when it comes out of little Yama's mouth!
That day, everyone came back and discussed Zion's condition, and tried to comfort him and assure him not to worry. Zion had an indifferent look on his face and would occasionally nod, but it was unclear if he was really listening.
And Hamza...he was still upset at night because his sister didn't give him that candy!
Soon it will be the weekend.
Today, Ryan took Susie out alone and they went to Huang's house for dinner.
Wade wanted to follow but was rejected. He stood at the door watching his cousin's car disappear at the end of the street, with a sad expression on his face, as if he wanted to wave a handkerchief.
Hamza hugged his arms and sneered, "What a shame! It's just going out, they'll be back tonight. Do they really need to be sent to the door?"
Wade turned his head and stared at him, "You're not ashamed? Then why don't you stay at home?"
Hamza turned and walked inside, saying lightly, "I'm just passing by."
Wade caught up with him and teased him, "Bro, do you think this phrase sounds familiar?"
Hamza was about to speak but suddenly remembered...
A long time ago, Wade pretended to go downstairs to get water and passed by Susie's door...and he said he was just passing by.
That video was still on his phone!
He never expected that he would use this lousy excuse one day!
Hamza was a little embarrassed and hummed as he entered the room, not saying anything.
Wade grinned and didn't intend to let him off the hook.
"Yesterday, my little sister had three candies in her hand."
"Zion was going for a check-up, and to encourage him, my little sister gave him one candy."
"She ate one herself."
"And do you know who got the only one left? Haha, that's right, it was me!"
"Ah! The candy my little sister gave was really sweet!"
Wade looked very much like he deserved to be beaten up as he looked at his brother with a proud face.
He even smacked his lips as if savoring how sweet that candy was.
Hamza restrained himself and really wanted to punch his annoying little brother down the stairs.
He coldly said, "It's just a candy, so childish."
He didn't care at all!
After Hamza finished speaking, he snorted and went back to his room.
Wade raised his voice and said, "Ah...it's just one candy, but who was staring at second brother's mouth yesterday? Tsk tsk!"
Hamza slammed the door shut.
Wade grinned and finally felt satisfied in his heart!
When Ryan brought Susie to Maxwell's home, some of Maxwell's relatives had already arrived.
Maxwell's home was in a village very close to the suburban area, which was well-built and had good greenery, despite being called a village.
Most of the villagers here still lived in self-built houses, while Maxwell's home was a two-story Tian Di building. At the moment, some relatives were sitting in the living room and at the entrance on the first floor.
Seeing Ryan arrive, everyone welcomed him inside, and in the short time that Susie walked, she had already filled her hands with candy and stuffed her pockets.
Susie, Wow (^▽^)
She likes sweets!
Maxwell introduced Ryan to his relatives with excitement, most of whom were his siblings. These siblings came relatively early, mainly to help out.
"Doctor Ryan, please sit first, we'll be eating soon!" Ruby came out wearing an apron and stuffed a big chicken leg into Susie's hand while speaking.
There were also a few children in the room, but they were all watching cartoons on their phones and occasionally making noise.
Mitch floated to the side and glanced up, saying, "Overall, this family is still united, but there are a few bad apples."
"But it's okay, they're not really close relatives..."
If he remembers correctly, that man possessed by the mouth demon was Ruby's cousin-in-law.
Susie nodded, biting on a cookie and speaking unclearly, "Master, look, the bad apple is here!"
A white sedan slowly drove up and parked at the entrance.
The middle-aged man with the evil ghost on his head wore a gold watch and a checkered shirt. After getting out of the car, he didn't even look back and coolly closed the door, looking very stylish.
"Hey... everyone's here!"
"Doctor Ryan is here too!"
The middle-aged man warmly entered the house, exchanged pleasantries with Ryan, and then urged Ruby,
"Is it time to eat? Geez, we should have come earlier to help. Your cousin is always so slow! Ruby, see if there's anything else that needs to be done, and hurry up and get your cousin to lend a hand!"
