Synopsis

Lord Ashford, a pragmatic and respected Duke, believes in honoring his obligations. Foremost among these is the life debt he owes to his long-time political rival, the charismatic and influential Duke of Montaigne, who risked everything to save Ashford's life during a near-fatal political assassination attempt. Montaigne embodies wealth, integrity, loyalty, and prestige. Ashford, feeling conventional gratitude inadequate, sees only one path to truly repay such a profound sacrifice: marriage. But can a marriage born of duty blossom into something more when the political landscape is already so volatile?
